RE: Realistic Barter Goods
I still fail to see why some on here, bang on about meeting up and its importance but THEN berate people who do not want too.
Just because I/we wont meet up with other preppers doesn't mean we wont barter post shtf.
Educate yourself, read selco's survival blog, you can also download his full survival course via torrent as I have.
Its a more realistic view of life post shtf and the bartering process, well for me anyway as he actually lived through shtf.
I, as well as others will probably trade post shtf but extremely carefully and rarely after weighing all the pro's and cons etc.
Some of us don't/cant meet up at meets etc... or have a concern for opsec, mine borders on the paranoid, that maybe to my detriment or not, only time will tell on that.
It however doesn't make us/me less of a prepper, it means we/I have a differing view point on the worth of meeting other preppers face to face.
That by the way doesn't mean I don't respect and appreciate other preppers and their views, I just don't concur with meeting up.
The chances after shtf that I'm going to meet anybody on this forum are slim to none, because I for one wont be trekking miles and miles anywhere for anything as I feel for years after shtf it'll be to violent and risky, but that is just MY point of view maybe local trades, but not too close.
I tried to be normal once.... Worst two minutes of my life...
