I must admit that I have mixed feelings about ID cards,..on the one side of the coin, we have a government who already knows everything about you, certainly everything that will be on an ID card,.. hell we are numbered from birth as it is,... what can anyone think of that's not already known.

On the other side of the coin, we could say that we have security which could be well worth a lot

Soldiers are one of the very few groups of people who have practical experience of owning and useing an ID card on a permanent basics,.. and I dont think I ever came across anyone who had any views against them
