ive heard of people using algee grown in tanks as a prepping food suppliment, you can live on it but it does take a lot to live on and naturally water is also an issue, in that you need a lot to grow an amount you could actually live on. but as a suppliment it is an option

i was just thinking pre SHTF you could have yourself a little herb garden on the go all year round in you sitting room would be pretty easy to maintain i would think plus as you said SD after an even you could potentially scavange the gear after an event
