Wikipedia Shutdown!
I wasn't sure whether to post this in the normal or controversial news section.

If you look at what happens in many dictatorships and especially during the creation of a communist state/country, control of information is a HUGE part of the transition. The government takes away the right to defend yourselves, they control the information in and out of a country, and they have complete control of passage of people in and out of the country.

Passports are the control in and out of the country. Something like 80% of Americans don't have passports!

The right to protect yourself is a part of the constitution, but during Katrina, many people were forced away from there homes and arms taken away from them!

This is the part where information get's controlled.

I know it's not going to stop any of us working, but it is a big sign!!!

Wikipedia (the English language part of it) will be shut down at the end of today in protest to the American government's latest legislation ideas!!!
