Why does everyone think we recommend leaving the urban area as a primary prep.

Just imagine all those vehicles abandoned where they now stand.

You arn't going anywhere inside the urban zone SHTF. Our emergency evacuations in natural disasters here in the states have proven that.

An ordenary show storm or a single wreck can shut the freeway down for hours even in nonemergency situations.

yeah, here too, i was once stuck on the motorway going nowhere for 2 hours, other people even longer, i dont like motorways cos once your stuck you've had it, luckilly i dont live too near a motorway and being a rural area i use the back roads most of the time.
Some people that prefer to be alone arent anti-social they just have no time for drama, stupidity and false people.
