I think that its often the case where the more a vehicle is `prepared` the more it sticks out and draws attention, if you do need to get anywhere in a bug out situation [ if you can ] then all that is required is a car that will carry you and some equipment.

Other things can be looked at i.e. four wheel drive if you are semi urban,..or small size car [or motorbike] if you are in the city,..other than that keep in simple and functional
Top boxes are great things,.. all my emergency stuff is in our topbox
A major part of survival is invisibility.
