Citreon Berlingo does us fine, its only 1400cc powerful enough fpr open roads but not excessive fuel consumption, we have the back seats permanently folded up, only the 2 of us and we dont give lifts, plenty of room in the back for picking up "stuff".
Some people that prefer to be alone arent anti-social they just have no time for drama, stupidity and false people.
