Do you REALLY need that ham license?

I received my Foundation and Intermediate licence last year, and took the Advanced exam just last week. To anyone thinking of buying amateur radio equipment I would recommend getting at least the Foundation licence. It is VERY easy, and legitimises your use (TX) of the equipment and introduces you to an interesting bunch of people. Most towns have amateur radio clubs which will host the exam.
