this conversation has been had over and over again, even if we could find a never ending supply of fuel POST SHTF...doubtful...the roads will not be driveable for long without the repair gangs to fix all the potholes and cracks and clean out the gullies and remove all the fallen trees and all of the rest of the stuff that will happen in a post collapse environment. give it 1 bad winter with howling gales and ice and snow followed by flooding none of us will be driving ANYWHERE even if we had the fuel!

there is a report in the MAIL online that says the councils cant fix all the potholes and cracks in the roads NOW, just imagine what it will be like in a post collapse environment!
