And the people inside that property would probably spend a great deal more time ready to go with a crosshair on or near you and only go out when they are confident no one is watching.

If they were a prepared person / decent ex forces / situationally aware, they will have looked at where they can be observed from, then observe those places.

Just remember - they have a lot more time sitting in there base to look out at potential points of attack then you have to spend at any potential point of attack looking at them, unless you have enough people supplying you with enough things that you can maintain watch on the place 24/7. Post SHTF you would be too busy looking for bottles to carry water in and wondering if your hands are ever really going to be as clean as they used to be.
