RE: Surviving? Is it worth it.
At the end of the day, no-one is wrong, we each have our own thoughts on how we would behave after an event.
Most of us agree that family /group must come first, and in those early days I am sure that almost all of us will be doing that.
...but no matter what we say, there will come a time when things settle down, and life becomes more normal,.. [ what ever that may be ],... if we are the kind of people who are willing to help other now, then we will become that person again, that's in our make up, this is why we help people now
So if the rape is happening two days after a complete social unrest, and lives are at risk then there is justification for walking away and looking after our own,... but if it is six months down the line and the same thing happens, then the person we are now will come to the fore,... weither that woman gets help, is down to us as individuals
A major part of survival is invisibility.
