RE: Catapult, aka Slingshot or "Bean Shooter"
The United States Navy, Merchant Marine and Marine Corps utility work uniform is still commonly referred to in the service as "dungarees." While the Navy bell bottomed old blue denims, blue chambray cotton work shirt and "Dixiecup" hat and Marine sage green herringbone twill of WW2 have long since been replaced with Marpat, drill instructors and Chiefs still call them "dungarees," sometimes "utilities," but never "fatiques" (the Army terminology) because a Marine is by definition physically fit and isn't permitted to be "fatigued".....
