Makes sense but in the UK I think the 72 hour is still viable. The distances involved and the risk of earthquake etc. is minimal.

Although in saying that we already have our items in so many bags thatwe should be able to prepare lists and pick and choose. Label them with colours so emergency X pick up all the blue bags, Emergency Y pick up all the Green bags.

I do like the everyone responsible for their own bag idea though.
