I think I shall spend a great deal of time going back to scratch to work out the best set up for a 5 or 7 day bag, overall I concur with JWRs findings, fortunately with the advent of small reliable high quality water filters I dont need to start lugging loads more water, but will focos on food, lighting, extra hygiene and clothing.
