That's how the Rabbit came to be in England in the first place, Binnie. It was first brought over with the Romans and semi farmed in large enclosures. Then the Normans brought the European Rabbit over and did the same, all the Rabbits now in the UK are descended from those Norman Rabbits that escaped from the enclosures (warrens).
So yes, it's dead easy.
