It does make reloading fun!!
You guys really are fantastic at overcomplicating the simplest of things!
If you are in a situation where camo is necessary for you to successfully eat, it is time to get over the anal retentive whims and "just do it".
Just modify the sock to meet your needs. They are cheap enough to have one for every shooter you own. Trim the sock for access to the chamber for loading.
There are also camo tapes and wraps for use on scopes. Even camo duct tape, which I have used often.
I also find that a long strip of camo burlap wrapped spirally around the gun serves well for a simple fix. We have camo burlap available at most fabric stores and in large sheets at outdoor supply stores.
Then there is spray paint! Some of my best camo efforts involved spray paint and leaves I picked up in the garden for use as templates.
Several of my guns came from the factory with camo finishes, which is handy but offers no challenge.
If you need camo then just do it! Put it together and make it work.
It's not rocket science.
