Seems ebola is really heating up now, with hundreds of new cases reported every week and the CDC, WHO and various other agencies saying that the actual (unreported) figures are many times higher. Meanwhile, at the beginning of the month the WHO was saying it would take 6 months to get under control. Now a few weeks later that time frame seems to range anywhere from nine to eighteen months, with various experts in the field (ie. former head of CDC) saying that if the US government doesn't step in and provide military help (not likely with the Ukraine and ISIS issues on the boil), then case figures will rapidly spiral out of control (saw one report today that the end figure may be over 200k cases).
