Personally I don't think the police have an easy job to do by any means and certainly in this area, I think they are pretty good. Cities and other large built up areas are a different kettle of fish altogether and with the way the Romanian and Somali gangs in particular operate, can you really blame them for holding back in certain situations until backup arrives. As said earlier, they are only human like you or me and they are doing a "job". The police are not the problem, it's the scum that the police do not have the powers to deal with and which the courts refuse to punish which is the real problem.
