How much are you save on your electricity bills?.
Carrying from another thread how long do think it will be that TPTB charge you for using the sun or the electricity companies put a service charge on it?
Hi first of all this system is off grid not wired to the mains it is a DIY small solar build 12 volt 450 watts, the only thing that can turn it off is the sun or should say day light as solar don't really need sun.
(and snow is a problem)
When you run a system like this you just need to look for low watt items, like imported 400 watt hot plates, I have a 800 watt chip fryer and so on, I also have tested it with all my power tools minus a few bench saws, and all was good, last of all it is connected up to many lights in the garden and a wire is run into my home for indoor use.
This is quite a cheap system to setup.
Nr the crystalline membrane are a lot tougher than one might think, in fact the panel is very strong I am aware that people do sell damaged panels and seen these tested for output and even bent up and twisted they out putted (is that a word) the same as a non-busted one, "youtube"
If I was a company or government body I am sure the panels would need to be braced tight to the roofs for health and safety reasons I would not have thought it would affect output in any way, in fact I am sure of this.
