We already have a written constitution, and within that is the right to bear arms as well, but the politicians invented a law that says parliamentary law trumps English common law. You certainly won't hear any politician talking about our constitution.

Yes I do remember reading something about that a while ago, but of course, as you say, tptb have made it irrelevant.
