When Chernobyl went bang which is roughly on the same latitude as Sweden the wind at a certain altituude apparents blows west most of the time. this lead to fallout from the reactor falling on Sweden, Norway, Southern Scotland, Northern England and even northern Ireland. Its only been a few short weeks since the last restriction on the upper pennines hill sheep farmers has been lifted in this area over 20 after it went bang.
