I have the basics in my car primarily because I'm never really that far from home, a few miles at most.

With my situation being urban carrying anything remotely interesting warrants close scrutiny from the police.

So again being close to home I'm naked of kit most times.

Only the other day I was ferrying three or four large bags on the handlebars of my bike whilst pushing it...

Not a very threatening site one would assume, but the local plod went round the block in their van two or three times casually looking each time they went past...

So I wont give them any excuse to have a mooch through my gear and find threatening items or get me for going prepared.

Any excuse for an easy collar.
