Advantages of being a British prepper

I would like to know what you think are the advantages of being a prepper in Britain specifically, compared to the rest of the world.

I ask this because I often find myself absorbing all the US based prepper media and feeling bad when I realize I'm stuck in the UK.

Aside from the obvious advantages of being prepared anywhere, what do you think are the pro's of being in the UK?. One point that sticks out for me is that there is usually a big distinction in the UK between "normal" people and survivalists, compared to the US where lots of half prepared people with more guns than groceries will cause problems later on.
