Sewage gases from toilets post shtf

For anyone with a septic tank, [ not on the mains ], then I really don't see much of a problem here, we live in a country that has plenty of rain, I am sure that we could all put out a bucket to add the the toilet and flush in the normal way

If I was on the mains, then I might just fill the toilet up with soil, and tape the toilet lid shut, I think that any gas build up would take place at the point where the biggest amount of s**t is, and that is probably not in our houses but in the main sewer
