Martial law.

RE: Martial law.
I think the US has an even larger area and would struggle even more over there to implement martial law NATIONWIDE!!!

The stupid thing is trying to move away from where you can afford to be, over to where you think you should be. Okay, let me explain.

Th government implements martial law and there's a major lockdown. All shops closed, and nobody to leave their homes. If you live in an apartment complex, you have more space to move in than if you live in a normal house. Many apartment blocks have other facilities available, and best of all, if you're cool with your neighbours, then you have a network and a group available without you even leaving the building you're in. Now, this is where it gets weird.....why would you want to leave your house if there was a lockdown? The shops would be closed, supermarkets, and all the rest. There's nothing you could buy. The cinemas, bowling alleys, and restaurants are closed. The pubs and bars are going to be closed as well. What are you going to do then? There's so little around, why would you even want to leave your house? At least if you were in the city where every apartment block is enclosed, you can see friends and neighbours, look out for each other and the alike.

To shut down a town, the easiest thing to do is block the roads. Once a few roads are blocked, that's the best part of the town closed down.

To be fair, living in a rural area is possibly going to get you killed. I'll expand on this idea. If we're all placed under house arrest, and there is a 'shoot-on-sight' rule for the police and military, then think about it...if you're all cocky believing you can walk around because you're not seeing police on the ground, you'll likely leave home, outside in the open, and a helicopter with a sniper, or some drone flying around, will see you and stick to the rules....BANG. Target eliminated.

Whether it's martial law with a curfew or not, whether it's urban or rural living, it's still best to play it safe. I'd rather be up in Bristol in the city with a load of mates in the same housing block as them, than sat around at home bored with no friends around, while my stock of coco-pops starts to run dry!
