You can buy kevlar. It's available in loads of places. One thing though. Kevlar isn't stabproof. It is a slash proof material. You can cut it with scissors, which is how you would shape it into your own clothing.

In fairness, I used to work doors, and the hoodies are frowned upon. You're better with the round neck hoodies for working doors. Also, onestopcopshop has really good quality ballistic tops you might want to look into.
