Good explaination of starting issues with diesels.

I avoid additives where possible and I don't thin the UK is that bad but I could see it as being something useful to have for after an event when it may be critical.

I'd keep my engine covered with a bit of carpet and providing it is used it stops it freezing.

Don't forget anti freeze for the radiator though.
