I am not arguing with Jonas or the method of working through a problem.

It allows for flexibility around a set of basic SOP guidelines.

As opposed to the man with a plan who will have things no other way and can see no circumstance other than what he has envisioned.

Von Moltke's statement stressed the need for developing the ability to change the plan in the face of the ever changing conditions any crisis situation presents.
