RE: Strong Sudafed...Caution when buying
Over here most ephedrine products have been on the semi-controlled substance list for 10 years or more. It is one of those medications that was not identified as a problem until on the market for 30 years and is a testimony to government vilifying some harmless drugs while allowing more dangerous drugs to be sold openly.

Prescriptions are not required but one must sign for the purchase and show ID, with purchase limited to 48 tablets at a time. It should have been made a prescription required med long ago.

I have chronic sinus infections and used one Sudaphed pill daily for over 10 years. The cost was two major heart attacks, three heart stints, 5 balloon angioplasties and the rest of my life on heart medication.

One should also be aware that if one has a heart problem, such as a prior heart attack, stroke, arrhythmia, high blood pressure, or are on medication for such, one single ephedrine based tablet can put you in your grave.

Just because it is OTC does not mean it is harmless.
