RE: TV arial for radio comms?
Convert TV antenna to 6m, 2m, 70cm antenna ... Want to see how to do it? Watch a true nerd in action Scythe! (2m & 70cm = UV5R/ 3R use)

For stealth antennas, use thin gauge wire up trees, along fence tops, under gutters, in your loft or disguised as a washing line with the Scythe 13 and Mrs S13 smalls blowing in the breeze for extra hidden dimension!

Stealth antennas have been discussed on this Comms board by Paul and LS.

Antennas must resonate at the frequency of transmission, just bending an antenna for one frequency ie a vertical CB antenna into a different shape won't work.

Maybe this will help:

(6m, The Magic Band qualifies for Long Range Radio thread)
