The major Transmission lines are shown on OS Maps.

Have a look at the following web page, change the map type to OS Map and then scroll down a bit to see the 3 lines of pylons leaving the site:

Zoom in closer and you'll see individual pylons...

The problem with following power lines, is that they cross valleys, gorges, hedges embankments, rivers and other obstructions as though they were never there, but its not so easy when you are walking
