Bows - A basic guide to different types

Thank you JD, I will need to carry out research on bows. I've never really considered bows in this way. I've made bows in the past, but of course, they were not up to much. I can see now that they would be good for taking Deer and other animals and of course, they are reasonably silent, which would be of great use in a survival situation where other people are close by.
