Logging up the stored wood and splitting and stacking as I go ......there is loads to get through ......plodding along steady ......it will take me quite a few weeks to get it all done .........then it all starts again ! ....but that’s okay ! The payback comes in the dead of winter ....gazing into those golden embers and the smells coming from that stock pot full of stew ....chunk of homemade bread and my bowl and spoon at the ready.......heaven ! .
