TOF using mental health laws to sieze guns or deprive peeople of liberty is a very common practise, esp in the old soviet union against dissidents, in the US against survivalists and ultra right wingers and even in the UK against anti monarchy activists. The one you refer to has the Feds siezing this guys guns cos his GP said he MAY have OCCASIONAL thoughts about suicide, problem is the guy is a staunch catholic and suicide is something he could never contemplate. I frequently hear socialists accusing decent people of being mentally ill for not supporting the welfare state or NHS.
