EU Army???

Angela Merkel, German Chancellor, wants to start an EU Army!! I wonder if she knows her country's history? how did that work out TWICE before? and just after Armistice/Rememberance day too!!

When the Berlin wall came down in 1989 and then Germany reunified in 1990 we wondered how long it would take for them to get delusions of grandeur. At the time we thought if would tank about 30 years but the EU has messed up their schedule, so, watch this space.

I can't imagine Vladimir Putin quaking in his boots with the thought of the Dutch, Belgians, French, Greeks and Italians forming an EU army with Germany... I can see the French and the Italians pulling out of the EU long before they would let the Bosche run the show, but I can sure see a great Monty Python skit being based upon this story line.

apparently there is a plaque inside the EU building in Brussels which reads: "National Sovereignty is the root cause of the most crying EVILS of our times. the only FINAL REMEDY( do they mean "final solution"? that was a phrase used by the Nazis about the Jews)for this evil is the FEDERAL UNION of the peoples".

The solution to the nazi threat was nationalism, British, American, Russian etc

The French and Germans will soon have 20% of their men of military age being of the Islamic persuasion.
This means that there will be no useful military in either of those countries, because 20% of potential recruits will not believe in the nation state in which they live, and will not volunteer. Beyond 20% and you're into full-on population replacement.

It's better to hope that they do not re-arm, so that when the remainder who still believe in Western civilization have to fight for our survival, we're doing it against unarmed, untrained peasants, rather than fanatic Islamic militants who are armed with the latest weapons.

Yes LAC you’re right, by the same, the solution to the Russian threat is nationalism, British, American, French, German, but ALL must be working together.

That is why we have NATO.

The EU only needs an army if they are concerned with policing their own membership.

And if they had an army it would be on the coast waiting for orders to invade GB at this very moment.

And Italy, Greece, Spain, and Italy would already be occupied and under military dictatorship for not keeping up with their loan payments to German banks after the last engineered recession of a couple of years back.
