It's not a case of if this blows up but when.

Wouldn't be surprised if after a few hot days, riots start here in the UK again. Yes, the Olympics and the Jubilee are just circuses to distract us - it's a powderkeg just waiting.

Was in Aberdeen at the weekend stocking up and even there you could feel if one thing went wrong, there would be bedlam. For the first time in ages felt uneasy about just walking down the main street.

Migrants in Europe 90% unemployment? SHOCKING. maybe if they spent their first 16 years or so in education and then learned the language and customs perhaps they'd be more employable.

But no, lets give them hugs and win their hearts and minds instead. Who are we to judge them if they want to hate us.

Bucket, I got a very similar sense of tension when I had to go to Middlesbrough last week, its like a cooking pot simmering and just about to spill over.

Even our homeless has seen a steep jump up between 14-20% this year so far and were not just talking addicts, alcoholics, mental health or foreigners but business people and the normal every day joe who through no fault of their own lost everything, the centres and night shelters have been hit hard with all the spending cuts. People that believe its not happening here should pull their heads out of the sand and stop acting like everythings is dandyo its not

Your comment "stock up on food" : We have been doing just that for 6 months or so, (along with many others), tinned food, dried goods, water, propane camping stoves and lamps, and would advise everyone to take precautions to protect themselves and their families. Also if you can, keep some of your savings in cash, and if possible buy some small denomination gold and silver coins. When the "experts" , the ones who got us into this mess, reassure us that "everything will be OK, the banks are safe", the alarm bells start ringing.
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst, which, I fear, is yet to come.

this is the one problem living in the country, the only place we see any of this sort of thing is on the telly, we dont have crime(last crime was a couple of years ago and they were down from Brum), no drug problems..maybe a bit of waccy baccy, there is unemployment but they dont riot about it down this way, they just get on with it...we seem to be a bit out on a limb here..its very quiet and peaceful...

If they do that it will cripple the UK economy for DECADES, Its the mortgage payers who are holding many of the banks up, if they attack the mortgage payers it will totally destroy all business confidence as people will struggle to pay the extra mortgage costs.
