The welfare state and NHS, they were created in 1948 just after WW2 and that is when the rotten cancer of socialism began to spread.

Cant see how NHS caused a decline in societies values but the welfare dependency culture certainly contributes that's for sure.

yes, sure the welfare state has a lot to answer for, but it has only been abused by a certain part of the population because limp wristed, leftie, liberal members of the govt(any govt since the last war) have let it happen, morals have slipped and been allowed to slip and nothing done to put things right. the "human rights" act has got a lot to do with it.

Drugs and cheap booze hasn't helped either. I don't go out as a rule. maybe twice a year but when I do go out, I am shocked at the number of underagers in the pub drinking.
Most of them are young wanna be Alpha males and looking for fights,
If these young lads can get pished as a f.rt they surely can't be working the next day, if indeed they work?
I am on benefits, have been for a while but try my hardest to install morals and manners into my children.
On Halloween, they have to shut gates behind them, only knock once and say please and thank-you, They are not allowed to drop litter, On the other hand...I smoke, when I fin my butt I admittedly, chuck it on the floor, I suppose this is littering in a way,
I wonder what there is more of on the streets? Thrown away fag ends or chewing gum?
I also open doors for folk and a simple thanks, smile or nod of the head wouldn't go a miss, after all, I opened the door especially for them, I have found the elderly folk the most ignorant !
I'm not going to go into what I think of people today as it's on the wrong thread and I could rant forever

Because its management has allowed its core values to be eroded and for it to be used and abused by huge numbers of people not entitled to its services.

Further the NHS was set up to treat the sick and injured, not to provide codsmetic surgey or services to people who are not ill, or it provides services to people with self inflicted conditions ( druggies, alcs etc) but often denies help to those who should get it.

Next example
Up to recentlly children with type one insulin dependant diabetes had to pay for the needles and syringes to inject their insulin with, at the same time and often in the same clinic drug addicts were given those same needles and syringes for free.

We wasted over £100 million pounds in the 90s and 00s treating a group of black illegal immigrants from South Africa with HIV to first rate healthcare, housing, clothing, transport, schooling etc.

Why are the NHS spending millions on breast enlargements, fertility treatment and tattoo removals ???

Equally prisoners serving long term and life sentences always get priority treatment when they are taken to hospital.

The NHS was set to to care for people in a cooperative system where those who contributed to its costs got treated, today its a joke and should be scrapped.

i must agree that the NHS is in a mess, the trouble is they TPTB seem to have changed into a money making business where it used to be funded by the govt...look at this idea of large hospitals having clinics in foreign countries just to make money for the NHS. anyway this is getting away from the main thread.

As said in my post above...Hospital A&E on a Fri and Sat night..chocka full of young pished up fools getting treated for cuts,broken noses ETC and of course victims of said fools being treated for stab wounds ETC.
An old friend of mine had a free tummy tuck, she had to give up smoking before op..which she did, she had op then started smoking again.grrr, that really fecking hacked me off !
Loads of money wasted on advertising, counselling and help towards folk with big drink problems.
I don't have aa problem if you are addicted and need help, I do object if you are one of the dirty drunks who go out just for a fight...

you've just said it yourself " a FREE tummy tuck", the NHS was set up to deal with life threatening diseases and illnesses and accidents and emergencies, not FREE cosmetic surgery... and neither health TOURISTS from foreign countries!
