I bought some of these last year and to be honest I wasn't that impressed with their performance, maybe I was expecting too much.
I have generaly been disappointed in the amount of light these things give out, maybe the TV and the movies are to blame for my unrealistic expectations?
They are good though for route marking and such, and they're great for helping you find the toilet in the middle of the night when yr wild camping (just hang one on the door)

I like em in the field for two reasons , First they dont eat up your supplies of batteries, second they dont burn down your basha or tent like candles do.

nice find though, didnt know glow sticks came in white :~)
