What a load of twaddle, They left London off the map and its both a hot bed and a sanctuary for hate filled extremists of every type, I would feel safer in Beruit than in London.

Hope this is the correct area to post this. I was returning home tonight via Victoria Station, when I was stopped by the UK Border Agency. I was informed by two the officers that they were from the Street Enforcement Team???? I was then asked what my immigration status was.........errrrrrr what was my reply.
I was informed that refusal to comply with their requests consitutes a criminal offence. Then I was told they were going to search my bag, OK then go ahead....... Cut along story short, I ended up being told that my folding shoval, Opinal Knive and several other objects I use for work were possible offensive weapons. I was then told I was being reported to the Courts for obstruction. So much for freedom in this country anymore.
Ohhhhhhh I was also told I could be a ................terrorist......... YThe one thing they failed to think odd was the collection of recently excavated animal bones at the bottom of my backpack.
I am begining to think the world has gone bonkers. Just had a phone call from the boys in blue regarding my brush with the UK Border Agency last night-I was a bad boy cuz I refused to disclose my details- I have been invited to attend a police Station so I can be interviewed. Oh yes said P.C. Whoever, we require you to give your finger prints, DNA sample & have ya mug shot taken as you are being reported for the offence of obstruction. I have a couple of friends who Magistrates and both of them have advised me not to step into any Cop shop without a solicitor. I have never ever had any trouble with the Police before, it appears they are intent sometime just to criminalise people for the sake of it. Both Magistrate friends have said in the past that they fear for the future of policing in this country, we just sliding into a an Orwelian future. What I find shocking is just how quick the police contacted me. Just last summer, several friends were having a picknick in a park near the British Museum, they just happened to have a small bottle of wine to go with the food. Four Camden Street Wardens approched them and told them it was an offence to drink in the Park! They had been spotted offending on a CCTV camera. My friends are two heads of Dept at the B.M. not someone consuming numerous cans of Tennants super or anything.
I knew we lived in survailance society, but hell. Sorry for the rant folks just really pissed off at the moment And I was told last night I might be a terrorist

yet another reason not to live in a city. dont see a plod,or a traffic warden or anyone else from one year to the next when you live in a small rural town.

I work driving in London 364 days a year, no, I'm not a cabbie, I work for a charity; anyways, I could tell you some stories that would make you hair not only stand on end but actually fall out!

The problem is that these people over-step their authority and the moment you point that out you suddenly find you've "broken" the law.

Your magistrate friends a absolutely right, DO NOT EVEN ENTER THE POLICE STATION WITHOUT A SOLICITOR! Find a good one and tell them EXACTLY what happened.

I have "homeless" friends that have been "invited" in to police stations for no apparent reason only to come away with some kind of penalty for some trumped up charge that they have no way of defending.......

Even though I drive in the city for a job I never carry any ID so whenever I'm stopped me they always have to produce a paper-trail because when asked my name all they get is my first name and nothing else...... unless they give me a "producer" and then off I go to the police station armed with my brief.

We are not obliged to carry ID so I don't, you are not obliged to ID yourself, so I don't - they can't search you unless they have reasonable cause, so make them demonstrate reasonable cause. You can always ask a passerby to witness your search, they can't stop you from doing that.

The problem is that the PTB derive their authority from us and its about time we removed that authority and took back our control by taking responsibility for ourselves.

i was stopped by police(in one of the rougher areas of Devonport, Plymouth) one night at about 3 or 4a.m, not doing anything wrong, just been to a birthday party and was walking home, they accepted my alibi, i wasnt rude or abusive, and i was allowed to continue on my way, good job they didnt search me, they would have found the sheath knife in my inside pocket which i ALWAYS carried when i lived in the city!

Dont go into cities
Dont communicate with the police they cannot be trusted
This country has EXACTLY the type of government its people deserve.
And I know its offensive but a fool living in a city and his rights will soon be parted.

Oggydoggy Can the campaign group LIBERTY help in any way?, if they stopped you on grounds of your skin colour that could be deemed racial profiling which is illegal.

I find it a damming indictment that in Britain 2012 the innocent law abidding citizen has as much to fear from the police state as it does the ethnic and criminal gangs that blight our society. Nothing will persuade me to believe anything good comes from socialist doctrine based governments ( Lab and Tory are indistinguishable for each other) its no so long since they wanted to lock innocent people up for 90 days at a time without charge or representation.

Thanks for the responses guys, knew we lived in a survailance state, but not a Police state quite yet. Might get loads of hasle, but I am going into complete none compliance mode regarding all this crap. Going to stay with friends in Europe. Solicitor advised just make sure you are out of the way and the police might just let it slide. So off to the land of Beer Kellers!
