They have almost certainly been sold,... bliemy we were doing it back in the 80`s, especialy with foriegn troops, I can remember guys almost selling their soul for a pair of German boots...
Although I am a little more suprised by the bayonets, because they are what the Army call `star items`,.,.. like a firearm,.. they have to be signed out and signed back in [ to the Armoury ], making it very hard to obtain them

i'll have a talk with the trader who runs that particular car boot, when i go to our market on Tuesday, he may know something he may not.
