Depends a lot on how many you have and how big an area they are in,.. but I used to clean out once a week and compost,..and swilled out with Jays Fluid
....you dont need a lot of Jays Fluid, just a couple of cap fulls in a bucket of water will be enough for a normal clean,...
.... and about once a month scrape down any perches as needed
A major part of survival is invisibility.
