Energy shortfall preps
As most of us have been pointing out for a while the UK is buggered with regards to its growing energy needs, we cannot make enough and are going to have to buy gas from abroad and we are going to be charged dearly for our governments screw ups. Now is the time for those who can to fit wood burning stoves and start building log piles.
And its not going to be long before families have to condense their multi room liesure activities into only one room in the winter as it becomes to expensive to heat a whole house.

If you want something more traditional and solid that can theoretically be moved you can see some interesting stoves in the Machine Mart Catalogue

RE: Energy shortfall preps
We have had this fire in now for a couple of months, it is a wrap around boiler muti-fuel burner, it runs the central heating and heats the water,.. but it is also linked to the oil central heating, [ while we can still afford it ],... so if the fire gets too low,.. say over night then the oil kicks in, at the moment I think we have it just right as the oil kicks in for just 1 hour just before we get up in the morning

wow, looks very nice. I also like the "decoration but useful in an emergency" swords on the wall too.
