i saw a very similar thing on doomsday preppers,

I dont think Mr Joe Q Average in the UK could ever really afford a st up like those in the DM, but over the years I have come across folks who have bought themselves those huge great big plastic cess pit tank treatment containers used by off grid home owners to store their waste in, and they have converted them into shelters / bunkers. I watched one chap in Whitby NY install and fit his out in the late 80s.

I have in my garden a 6ft by 12ft rectangle of decking I was thinking of digging down building a reinforced insulated box under it. Setting up a small solar powered light. I think it would be perfect for storing food. (Cool and dry) and a safe place to hide if the need arises. If anyone has any ideas or experience with this can u let me know.
