New prepping magazine USA "offgrid"
This cropped up on a few websites I read. Looks like a new prepper mag.
It might be possible to get in the uk like the "guns and ammo" magazine you can get in WHSMITHS etc. If not they might be running it as an online magazine too.

It looks a bit more mallninja tactical armchair warrior type prepping than the more typical Ray Mears survival and country life style bush craft magazines we already have access to. Without access to guns and vast wilderness/dester in the states it might not have as much practical application here but hey ho.

It looks pretty cool though. With some useful stuff, depends how useful it is and if you can find the info elsewhere without having to pay for it. I think they have their target market nailed though. Its from the same people who write recoil a popular gun magazine in the states.

Mallninja - funniest thing I ever read on the internet.

On a serious note, even in the UK there does seem to be an element that imagine they will move to the nearest woods and live like Grizzly Adams at the first sign of trouble. Nutters.

That series of threads is famous over here, but will never be eclipsed by the infamous "Gunkid".

http://xavierthoughts.blogspot.com/2006/...unkid.html

Gunkid was a lone wolf survivalist who developed many of the lone wok philosophies still promoted today; avoid everyone and kill anyone you can't avoid and if you need gear kill someone and take it. His greatest proposals included the famous "assault wheelbarrow" complete with swivel mounted AR rifle for gear transport.

His SHTF plan was to transport his gear to the Mississippi River using the assault wheelbarrow, then float downstream to the Gulf of Mexico selling his services as a mercenary along the way. Once on the Gulf he would assume control of some small village and live out his life as dictator.

He wound up in prison. Contrary to popular belief we do have weapons laws in the U.S. and he broke several important ones.
