new Canner
Went to WallyWorld and bought myself a new hot water canner yesterday. Apparently the canner was left in the old house on the last move.
I have tomatoes coming in and eggs to pickle.

Also doubles as a way too big cooking pot at 21 quarts.

RE: new Canner
I thought for a moment that you had just what we are after,.. it looks a good product, but sadly it will not do meat.
We can get pressure canners in this country, but all ours have rubber seals that go often, we want the All American canner, its the only one that doesnt use the rubber seal,...and we cant ge them in this country
We are looking to get friends to buy in the states,..use the canner, and bring it back or post it as a second had gift,.. other wise the customs charges are massive
....but this one might be a good buy none the less

RE: new Canner
MB, I like this, it's excellent but as Highlander says it's costly when shipped and customs duty added. It would be great for soup at a gathering. Excellent! Kenneth Eames.

RE: new Canner
With it being Walmart which is part of the ASDA group do you think if we asked around our relevant local ASDA stores one maybe willing to import for us to the uk.?
In fact I'll email asda now, I'll find some sort of ceo and email them, see if they'd be willing you never know.
I'll let you know if I get some sort of favorable response, if you dont hear anything expect the reply to have been a firm NO!!
This is the ceo of asda email address, I'm sending a general inquiry for the product and also at the possibility of importing stuff from the states.
You never know he might see it as a business opportunity and we'll have the chance at u.s. goods.
Feel free to pester him with me!!

RE: new Canner
Thats what I've done, I emailed him and pointed him to our main site and also told him to have a look at prepping on the web and said what a great business opportunity the uk walmart ASDA is missing out on.
Fingers crossed!
