Political Ends

RE: Political Ends
Anyone here read John Seymours "retrieved from the future"? It's like a British version of J.W.Rawles "Patriots" series but with Suffolk dialect. After a crash one of the greatest threats is hand-wringing bureaucrats wielding emergency powers. Eventually a norfolk version of the Taliban sorts it all out (spoiler alert.)

Government and politics may disappear from people's lives for a time, but if the government comes over the hill in a convoy of trucks, you'd better be ready. They'll just be a well organised gang, ready to inflict Leninist style requisitioning to feed the hordes of city dwellers willing to work or fight as conscripts...
Woe to those who add house to house and join field to field, Until there is no more room, So that you have to live alone in the midst of the land!
Isaiah 5:8
