To be honest chaps a lot of archers never bother to take the time, they just pick an arrow shaft from a "spine" chart and then shoot with that. They will eventually correct the flight by compensating for irregularities caused by a badly spined arrow, they also fit larger Fletchings to straighten out the arrows flight. The problem comes back though if your feathers get wet, cancelling out their stabilising properties. When your feathers get wet and collapse, a poorly spined arrow flies terribly, hopelessly inaccurate.
I try to push this point whenever I can, that Arrows are the most important part of Archery. If you take a bit of time and effort on this your archery will improve by leaps and bounds, you will have more confidence in taking longer shots knowing your arrows are not going to fly like a pissed Bumblebee.

I've been increasingly getting into barebow archery and tuning.I'm fine with my spine weight but I still can't get rid of my nock high problem.I think my release is at fault,I also shoot Mediterranean with a glove
.Once fletched my arrows are fine but I would love to get them flying straight unfletched.
.I've also reluctantly switched to traditional carbon shafts.As much as I would prefer wood I'm just not finding the consistency in wood shafts,this of course is for target accuracy I would still be more than happy enough with wood for actual real world accuracy out to 30 yards.
