had my first fallow deer the weekend (plenty of meat again ) so will be butchering tommorrow
i will be trying to keep the hide has any one done this and any advice will be a grate help

I really want to do what you're doing now mate.
The only knowledge I have is that of Ray Mears or Bear Grylls.
I know you need to make bracelet cuts around the ankles, another cut from the anus to the solerplexus, but the rest....not a clue mate.
Trial and Error
Give it a go, if it doesn't work keeping the hide, eat up, and find another one.

the skinning bit is ok done that loads of times its the drying time etc stuck on that but thanks any way

It is messy and all icky and like everything else the instruction sheets don't show the true story. But lie everything else practice makes perfect.

Started to dry a deer skin once put it out to dry pegged out on a board, never finished it ripped to piece by foxes.
