Cadac bbq/cooker
For an emergency cooker we have a double burner coleman, we can put a pot of something on the woodburner to heat we also have a cadac carri chef deluxe bbq/cooker for the caravan or bbq in the garden.
The cadac works off gas what ever you have with the correct regulator. We use the caravan every other week end from April to October plus 2 weeks in the summer and have a 6 kg propane bottle that we use with it. So far the the bottle has not run out. With the combination of cooking plates we can cook in a varity ways. It is normal for us to cook 3 meals day on it so it would seem to be very economical to use. It breaks down to carry around in its own carrying case. I can recommend the cadac for what ever situation you want it for.

I think everyone needs a wood burner now yet inexpensive ones are being bought up as soon as they appear and the others are expensive.

What type of wood burner do you mean? the cast iron type like I have in my house or the portable superb Frontier stove everyone has been druelling over?
I'm sure there is or was one of the posters on one of the UK forums making decent quality woodburners out of gas bottles /

Yep. That and others are being bought up. Aldi is selling firewood and I start to see it at most small shops around here. People are knocking down the fire covers and recommisioning their fire places. I have four in my house all sealed up.

Just a word of warning regarding recomissioning sealed up fireplaces...

1) make sure you give them a sweep first, to make sure they're not blocked.

2) check the local council regulations regarding having an open fire as the council stasi usually have some sort of rules and you know what they're like regarding fines etc.

I've just "aquired" 2, 13.5gk gas bottles so I can make the stove out of one and cut an overlapping door out of the other the hopefully a sheet out of the other, beat the crap out of it to make it a hot plate for the top? although I may attempt some sort of dutch oven instead...
I have a gasles mig welder, mind you my welding skills wouldnt win an award but they do hold...
if you look here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEI45q7Mg...re=related
I like the fact they used a gate latch for the door lock...
On the small grey one, there only 4 vent holes in the door.. would that be enough air flow?
AND whats the minimum diameter for the smoke stack? is 4" definatly the only size to use or can smaller, say 3" be used?

Thanks for that. I now they are sealed up and need to be unsealed.

As far as bylaws go. I've given up on listening to the Stasi. they can come around and tell me to stop if they find out. It isn't a jailable offence so fuck em. That technique works for the gypsies so it'll work for me.
