Know for a fact Sky logs what channels you watch and when (My brother's a sky engineer, second thing he did was take that circuit out of the folks box)

Also most broadband providers have 90-day logs of what you look at online.

So as we go towards iptv like iplayer and the like, won't be that difficult to spy on us be it the CIA, MI5 or more likely advertisers.

If you leave the phone line disconnected to the skybox, then it can not transmit your data back to the Sky server. This is ok if you don't watch box office or pay per view channels.
